Anuj Thapan, one of the defendants in Salman Khan's dismissal case, was discovered dead in the crime branch police lock-up's restroom on May 1.

The two accused who are arrested in the case have 2 pistols and 40 bullets with them and also they changed their outfits while being on the run. Both of them are from Bhar and 19 bullets have so far been recovered.
