Sony TV finally gave us a<em> jhalak </em> of their upcoming show <em> Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa,</em> a desi version of Dancing With the Stars. Coupled with some real power packed peformances, the channel unveiled their chosen eight well- known personalities who are determined to put on their dancing shoes.

Our antennae has picked up signals that former Miss India Namrata Shirodkar and Indian television's hot star Rajeev Khandelwal are likely to be cast together to play the main roles in one of the forthcoming shows on Sony Entertainment Television. The show in question will be a love story produced by Anubhav Sinha Productions. We hear, Sinha's wife, Ratna, will hold the reins for this particular assignment.

Manini De is out of Cinevistaas' <em>Saathiya</em> on Sahara One. Ekta Behl (Mohnish Behl's wife) has stepped into her shoes. Explains Siddharth Malhotra of Cinevistaas, "After <em>Saathiya</em> shifted to the prime time slot (9 pm) from episode 48 on, we needed Avanti's character to be a little longer. Earlier, the story involved a lot of youthful romance, but now it will also comprise heavy duty drama. Manini has been in the US for a while and says she can't return before 2 November. Unfortunately, I don't have a good bank to fall back on."
