Smriti Irani after turning producer with her show <em> Thodi Si Zameen Thoda Sa Aaasmaan</em> on Star is all set launch a new show titled <em>Viruddh</em> in association with Applause entertainment, a part of the Birla group. The cast is an amalgamation of the best talents from theatre, films and TV: Sushant Singh, Ashwini Kalsekar, Vikram Gokhale, Achint Kaur, Govind Namdev and Irani herself.

Looks like the silver screen can't do without it's telly sis. This time there's another cross promotion happening; the latest one to promote a film on the telly. In an attempt to promote the forthcoming Amitabh Bachchan-Sharmila Tagore starrer, <em>Viruddh</em>, Star Plus is running an unique contest, <em>Viruddh-talaash ek adarsh jodi kii</em>…designed specially for the senior citizens of this country who have faced many a battles in life with grace and courage.
