MUMBAI: Silence 2: The Night owl bar Shootout on ZEE5 delves into the depths of human complexity, unraveling dark secrets and exposing hidden truths. When asked about the message or takeaway she hopes the audience gathers from the film, Prachi Desai, one of the film's lead actors, reflects on the importance of storytelling. "The idea behind making it is to tell a good and engaging story," she begins. "I hope the audience is kept on the edge of their seats while watching the film."

Prachi Desai's passion for the project extends beyond mere entertainment. She recognizes the weight of the themes explored in "Silence 2" and hopes it resonates deeply with viewers. Yet, amidst the seriousness of the moment, hilarity ensued when a rather unexpected incident occurred. "Only to realize after the shot that one of our costars' mustaches fell off during the scene," Desai chuckles. "Of course, we all had a big laugh over it."

This time, the makers are back with a second season that is, Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout wherein we get to watch Manoj Najpayee and Prachi Desai once again. The series will be available to stream on ZEE5 from 16th April.

In an exclusive interview with Manoj Bajpayee prior to the release of his film, Silence 2, on ZEE5, we quizzed the exemplary actor about when the shoot for The Family Man S3 will begin, when it'll end, when it'll release, and what would be the trajectory of the story.

To this, Manoj Bajpayee said, “Abhi toh 3rd season Family Man ka shuru hoga by the end of this month. Aate aate time lagega because series banana mein, shoot karne mein bahut time jata hai. Iss saal humlog khatam karenge. Next year tak taiyar karenge by June-July, hopefully.”

When asked about the sequel to ‘Sirf Ek Banda Kaai Hai’, Manoj Bajpayee said, “Banda Kaafi hai ka koi aisa sequel nahi hai, bilkul nahi hai. Not that I know, ho sakta hai kisi aur ke saath ban rahi ho. Lekin mere paas iski koi knowledge nahi hai.”

Team Tellychakkar got in touch with Manoj Bajpayee who gave some intriguing answers when asked about the shift in the industry and how it might have happened.

There was a time in the industry when people used to think that when it came to actors like Manoj Bajpayee, or Irrfan Khan, they should have a particular type of role in movies and even the audience thought so. However, it’s been a few years that we have been getting to watch Manoj Bajpayee in projects like ‘Killer Soup’ and ‘Sirf Ek Banda Kaafi Hai’, and no one in the audience thinks that this is an off-beat movie or a parallel movie. According to you (Manoj Bajpayee), how did this whole narrative shift?

To this, Manoj Bajpayee said, “Dheere dheere karke shift hua aur main iss yakeen ke saath keh sakta hoon ki ye pehla seed iss change ka dala tha Ram Gopal Varma ne ‘Satya’ se. Woh itni badi cult film hui, saare aade-tedhe dikhne wale hum log, daadhi badhaye hue, there was nothing very beautiful about us how we looked but we were all just playing characters and that was the time audience got a new surprise ke aisi bhi jo hai filme ho sakti hai., iss tarah ke bhi performances ho sakte hai, which is something that we have seen, something that we have experienced in our life. Slowly slowly cheeze change hui fir directors bahar se aaye bohot saare aur unn directors ne apni apni kahaani kehni shuru ki. They wanted their protagonists, their heroes, their main actors and we were all there you know, we were all existing at that time and got lucky to be… We were there all the time for the directors to look at us and think of us as the main lead. It all happened, slowly it happened. It didn’t happen overnight but now with the OTT, the pace is too much. Things are changing almost every five days. There's a new thing, new way of looking at stories which are coming into it and we have to match with the changing time. So yeah if you are at ease, if you think that you everything, you are going to be left behind. You have to keep changing your method, keep changing yourself to this new changing world.”

We asked Manoj Bajpayee that if it wasn't for RGV, and OTT, does he think that a project like Family Man could have been made with him in the lead?

To this, Manoj Bajpayee said, “I doubt, you know, RGV, Shekhar Kapoor, Mani Ratnam, they happened almost at the same time in the gap of say 3-4 years but ‘Satya’ is something which has given it a lot more speed. RGV has given so many new directors who mattered so much in the coming times and now there are so many new directors, they are changing things, they are doing things in their own ways, telling their own stories you know very differently. So you are actually spoilt for choices.”

MUMBAI: Prachi Desai is a huge name in the entertainment business and she has a massive fan following.

She rose to fame with her character "Bani" from the serial "Kasam Se" which was a huge hit on television.

The actress was part of the show for two years and then she quit the show to pursue her career in movies.

Her debut Hindi movie was Rock On for which the actress had won maximum awards for "Best Debut" that year.

She was part of many successful movies like Life Partner, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Bol Bachchan, Azhar etc.

These days she is grabbing the headlines as her next project "Silence 2" will be streaming on Zee 5 from the 19th April where she essays the character of Inspector Sanjana Bhatia.

Tellychakkar got in touch with the actress and asked her if she would ever return to television and the difficulty was the shift from television to movies.

Do you ever feel like doing a television show today?

I don't think so; I look back on it fondly, but I don't think I miss anything, as I enjoy the process of making a movie because after one movie you do another, so I like that more.

How difficult was it for you to shift from television to movies as the fan base on television is huge?

I was too young then, and it was tough for me to take it all in. The responsibility was big, and to understand all of that, but at the same time, you are learning what the process of acting is and having a telecast for five or six days in a week is different. Though I was enjoying it and getting tired of learning all of this at once. It was just a matter of something so amazing coming to me, just out of the blue. I was part of my show "Kasam Se" for two years, but it feels like I was on television for a long time, and the love of fans is so precious. That is the beauty of television, where all the fans connect with you in such a short time and remain with you for life.

Do you still get fan mails?

Yes, I do. I get surprised, like in countries like South Africa, etc., when you visit the fans and the people out there call me by my character "Bani" from the serial. Even though they don't know the language they recognize you for the role that one has played.

MUMBAI: Actor Sahil Vaid got a chance to work with Manoj Bajpayee in "Silence... Can You Hear It?", and he reveals he had childlike excitement working with the National Award winner.

"I was excited like a child when I came to know that I would be working with Manoj sir because obviously like all actors of my generation I have watched, loved, admired and felt inspired by Manoj sir. But I must admit that I was not nervous at all, I think I have outgrown that phase of feeling nervous before senior and respected actors. With time, and with my constant work on stage theatre that I still do, and especially after working with Naseeruddin Shah sir, I do not feel nervous anymore," Sahil told IANS.

He added: "I realised these legendary actors will never make us feel small or create any air about them on a film set. Rather they create an environment conducive for great performance. The fascinating thing about Manoj sir is, whereas most feel anxious between 'action' and 'cut', or just before the camera starts rolling, Manoj sir is in his calmest best. He is so relaxed as if he becomes that energy of the character and knows every little nuance of his movement. You have to watch him perform live to feel what I am saying, it's like live theatre."

"Silence... Can You Hear It?" a murder mystery, and Sahil plays one of the police officers trying to find out the motive behind a murder.

Sahil was earlier seen in films like "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania", "Badrinath Ki Dulhania", "Dil Bechara", amd "Coolie No. 1".

Asked about if there's anything common he has imbibed from Naseeruddin Shah and Manoj Bajpayee, Sahil replied: "Both of them are from two different generations and different schools of thought, but since they both started their journey in theatre, the power in their performance feels surreal to me as an actor. That is the common thread between Naseer sir and Manoj sir. I am trying to imbibe that. In life, there is so much we have to feel anxious about. When I am on stage or in front of the camera, my mind should be calm. I learnt this great lesson from them."

"Silence... Can You Hear It?" also features Barkha Singh, Arjun Mathur, Prachi Desai, and Shishir Sharma. The film streams on Zee5.

MUMBAI: ZEE5’s project Silence... Can You Hear It? has finally premiered. Ever since the trailer of the movie was out, fans were eagerly waiting for the release to see the talented Manoj Bajpayee in another exciting role. The thriller stars some amazing talents such as Prachi Desai, Sahil Vaid, and Arjun Mathur, and the film is written and directed by Aban Bharucha Deohans.

The story of the movie begins with a high-profile murder, and this case is being investigated by a cop named ACP Avinash Verma, played by Manoj Bajpayee. The case is being led by Avinash and his team. How the case moves ahead and what connection it has with all the other characters make for an interesting watch.

The screenplay is very good, and it manages to hold your attention right from the very first scene. The direction of the movie is decent.

The background music is a supporting factor and enhances the overall viewing experience.

Talking about the performances, then let us mention that Manoj Bajpayee is the USP of the movie. The actor once again proved his versatility with his work in this movie. It is a treat to watch him. On the other hand, Prachi Desai impresses in her part, and Sahil Vaid too is good. Arjun Mathur does justice to his role and is seen in a unique avatar.

The positive points include the concept of the movie. The story takes a good start and manages to grab your attention. The performances of the actors are the highlight, especially that of Manoj Bajpayee. Prachi Desai, Sahil Vaid, and Arjun Mathur are seen in competely different avatars from before.

Although the screenplay manages to hold your attention, there are few instances where the screenplay lacks and you may feel a little bored, but you are saved by the performances of the lead actors, which will keep you glued.

Overall, this 136-minute movie will surely take you on a rollercoaster ride of thrill and suspense and is worth your time .
