The 2nd annual <em>Vijay Awards</em>2007 was held on May 3rd, 2008 at Jawarharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium amidst much glitz and glamour. Like last year, the Rasigan Expresss; the publicity vehicle travelled across the state and collected votes from the public for their favourite stars. These awards give the viewers an opportunity to choose their favourite star as the winner.

Vijay Awards is back honouring Tamil movies released in the year 2007. Yuhi Sethu, a film analyst and actress Khushboo, will host the show.
