The very talented and good looking Ravi Dubey, who was last seen hosting India’s Dancing Superstar and then Nach Baliye 5, enjoys watching reality shows, movies and comedy series on TV. Read on to know more on his FAV shows.
After a hard day’s work, which channel do you usually watch?
It would any time be Star World. I love most of its shows. I am also a big fan of all movie channels like HBO, Star Movies and Sony PIX. They take up all my free time as I enjoy watching movies a lot in theatres, laptops or TV.
Fiction shows that you are watching currently on TV?
Sargun (Mehta) is a big fan of Beverly Hills (Star World) and Gossip Girls (ZEE Café) and I tend to watch them with her. I like the series Lost and of course there’s Friends (Star World). I also like all the comic series’ on TV; they act as stress busters when you come back home.
Reality shows that catch your attention?
I follow almost all reality shows on Indian TV. India’s Dancing Superstar (Star Plus) is one show that I really loved watching. No, it was not because I was a part of it but it had a store of awesome talent. Every one of them was so fantastic. Now, I guess that reality TV has become my domain and I enjoy it the most.
Personality you like on TV?
It would be Ram Kapoor of course; he is one phenomenal actor who has proved that physical aspect is not very important to become a star. He is an epitome of confidence and is unconventionally charismatic.
Any foreign shows you feel can be made in India?
I feel Gossip Girl would do well in India since it is also centered around women like most of our TV shows (laughs). But as an audience, I feel our shows should be more character-driven and each should have a different flavour to it. That way there would be more chances of people watching them as per their tastes.
Given a chance, which TV series will you like to be a part of?
There are actually quite a few of them. I would like to be a part of Friends and play the role of Chandler played by Matthew Perry. And also the lead character of Lie To Me (Star World) would be interesting to play.
