Manish resurfaces
They said he was uncooperative, snobbish; even jinxed. He lost UTV's Bhabhi (which is just not happening these days..tsk..tsk!) because a major scuffle broke out between him and an assistant director on the sets. Then he was upbeat about Cinevistaas' Saaksshi, but he lost that one too! Was it due to the revamping or…? Anyway, here he comes again. Come next week, Sony's Devi (which is now being handled by Shreya Creations) will feature Manish Goel as a lawyer who falls for Juhi Parmar. Watch out, he is a wounded lion!
Kittie Party going off air?
Just a few days ago, we told you that Zee's late night Kittie Party which was supposed to go off air by end August had been granted an extension. Now, we hear the extension was meant for a few days only, and as things stand, the show will go off air by the third or fourth week of September. An insider tells us that it has reached the last page of its book. Sigh!
High and dry??
It would be interesting to know what the kittie members will be doing after the party's over. Kavita Kapoor, Kunika Lall, Achint Kaur, Mayuri Kango and Shveta Salve don't have much going for them presently. Just in case you didn't know, Salve's Kaahin Kissii Roz too is exiting in about three weeks' time. However, Deepshikha will not be idle. Her second baby is due soon and that should keep her occupied, personally if not professionally …
Sangeeta bounces back
Sangeeta Ghosh who heaved her bosom and pouted her lips at every opportunity in Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand until Star decided to do away with her has bagged two plum assignments for the same channel. Come 23 August, she returns to the serial as a hep, mod girl Mahi. Also, she has bagged the main role in BAG Films' new show for the same channel. Not bad for someone given the heave-ho recently, huh?

Rohit's thief nabbed
Who says that films are a far cry from reality? Maid Praveena D'Souza decamped with Rs 2.32 lakh from Rohit Roy's apartment in Lokhandwala Complex on 26 July. During a subsequent combing operation across the city, the police nabbed D'Souza at CST station, when she was about to board a train to Bangalore. Filmi. While being escorted to the restroom the next day, she escaped! Very filmi. As destiny would have it, Praveena was nabbed soon after sleeping in a relative's house. She was arrested along with her husband Deve Gouda and Rs 1.91 lakh have been recovered from the couple.
