The quirky world of television is full of stars, starry mood swings, the rat race for the stellar roles and lots more...

Sonal out of 'KZK'
Not so long ago, Sonal Sehgal aka Sanjana quit Miditech's Saara Akash on Star Plus. Now, she's out of another Star Plus show - Kasautii Zindagi Kay. When contacted, she says, "I am doing 'Hotel Kingston' on Star One, which is a weekly. A back injury has forced me to rest more. KZK being a daily, I had to do a lot of running between sets. So I opted out." Down the line, Sonal will also be seen in a crossover film 'You Bomzi and Me'. Meanwhile, Balaji has roped in Marathi actress Bhairavi (not a patch on sexy Sonal, though) to carry on the character in KZK.

'Devi' going off
Sony's last ditch effort to get the eyeballs back on Devi has bit the dust. Nirmal Pandey, Alyy Khan and the other mamas and Hema Malini's cousin Madhoo too failed to generate any interest. The shooting of the serial has stopped. The end will show Juhi Parmar killing all the mamas. Just four or five more weeks of airtime. The track planned involved Manish Goyal's mamas (Nirmal Pandey, Alyy Khan, Suraj Thapar, Shiraz) praying that they lay their hands on Manish and Juhi Parmar's kid who, when born, will be blessed with the powers of destroying all evil. No prizes for guessing that they want to kill the kid. That is exactly why they have gone all out to ensure that their bhanja (Goyal) gets married to Kalika (Parmar). Did we just burst the bubble? Err, was it ever there?

Shrradha in chat show
Pretty Shrradha Nigam has been roped in to host a chat show titled Soul Mantra for a new channel from the Times stable, due to launch shortly. The shooting has begun. The show deals with alternative therapy. Meanwhile, there are hot rumours doing the rounds that the other show which she stars in, Saathiya, is soon going off air. We'll soon let you know on that.

Sachin in Zee show
Sachin (Krishna of Kahaanii...) has been added to the cast of Zee's Tumhari Disha. He will play the sails of Disha's troubled ship. "I keep making her smile in her troubles. Basically, it's a happy go lucky character, so close to my real persona," he says. Keep going, Sachin.
