After being a sitting judge on SAB TV Fame X Gurukul, now Ganesh Hegde will once again be seen on Sony's new reality show, Kabhii Kabhii Yaar Kabhii Kabhii Pyaar. Though he has graced reality shows as a celeb judge before but this time is he really kicked about this show. In a heart-to-heart with Tellychakkar the chorographer discusses the show, his future plans and more . What made you take up this reality show? Firstly I took up the show because of my relationship with Mahesh Bhattji (who is a co-judge) and secondly the unique concept of gharwali and baharwali competing with each other made it very tempting for me. It’s going to be wonderful to see the trio dancing and competing with each other as well as other contestants. And more than anything it’s a meaningful show. What will be the criteria for judging? Well as a chorographer definitely I’ll be judging them on the dancing. Here I want to see the smoothness between the trios with the steps easily flowing, the balancing act, controlled movements and their energy levels. Dancing is not just a movement of the body but it is also about how well you perform. Who are you rooting for? Gharwali or Baharwali? I think I would love to the combination of motivation from gharwali and excitement of baharwali. This is what the show is all about. It’s not duo but trio so definitely the chemistry with both will be different and interesting to watch. By far how has been your experience as a judge? We have just shot two episodes and till now everybody was ok. They all were at the basic level of dancing but now as the show picks up they have to work harder. Everybody is good but now they will have to show their best in the up coming performances to survive this competition. What do you have to say about the controversies that occur on such reality shows? Controversies are the USP of this show. This is not a duo but a trio jodi and friction has to happen between them. I want to see the panga between them but in dance not tiffs. Talking about the squabble between the judges that is very natural, as individuals each of us Maheshji, Sameera and I have a different point of view for each performance as our judging genre is different. If a wrong view point is presented its necessary to bring the right one in front of the audience and that’s where the controversies may be created. If I feel that the other two judges were not right I’ll voice my displeasure and this is where you may find the small tiffs but it’s natural. Do you think audience voting is important? I think audience voting is equally important. The audience is paying money and watching shows on television, so they have the right to choose the winners. We are making these shows for them and thus its important to have audience involvement as they are the ones who make actors reach that high level where they are today. Will it be difficult to judge these established actors as they may not be very open to criticism? For me everyone is at par as I will only be judging them on dancing. Talking about the celebs taking criticism, they must be aware of it and that’s the reason they are here today. If they make mistakes we have to tell them. There is nothing to feel offended as it’s part of the game. What will be your take away from this show? My take away from the show will be seeing them grooming up in all forms may it be dancing or chemistry. I’ve seen lots of competitions and here my only agenda is motivating each and every participant and seeing them come out in flying colours. By the end of the show even I’m going to learn lot more things from them. Any other reality shows for you? Again it depends on the format. If the show is productive and meaningful I would definitely take it
