How important is money for you? It is very important. It is not as important as my health and family but to lead a good life money is important. Are you an impulsive buyer? Yes, I am. I indulge in impulsive buying once a month. But what I buy impulsively is generally not a waste of money. They are useful purchases. What are the investments you have made? I have invested in everything apart from shares. I have invested in mutual funds, property, insurance policies, etc. What is your most expensive purchase? My house is my most expensive purchase but as far as my recent purchases are concerned, a Sony VAIO laptop worth Rs. 1, 00,000 is my most expensive purchase. I bought it eight months ago. Do you feel financially secure? No one can feel financially secure in this profession. I do feel financially insecure because acting profession is always uncertain but I have confidence that I will do great. Who handles your expenses? I handle them myself. What was your first salary? What you did with it? I earned my first salary 15-17 years ago when I was in my 12th grade for anchoring a show on All India Radio. I remember I bought a pair of jeans with that money. How much money do you carry every day? I carry around Rs. 1,500 – 2,000 every day since I am shooting away from home at Vasai for my current show Balika Vadhu on Colors. Do you invest in the stock market? No and I would only invest in the stock market when I have plenty of money. Any advice for investors? Make a ratio of your expenses and savings. One should neither save all their money nor spend all the money that they earn. There has to be a ratio.
