After leaving Maayka Zee abandons Betiyann…

After Maayka, Creative Eye’s second show on Zee TV Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann too is tipped to end on 13 August whereas Maayka may end on 14 Aug. A source from the show informs, “Betiyann is ending a day before Maayka ends that is on 13 August. All the lead faces have already quit the show and thus it has nothing to boast about. After Gunjan Walia Romit Rajthe only saviour who could salvage the situation too has made an exit.” Surprisingly, the news comes as a rude shock as the show was doing quite well even after its two and a half years run. “Going by the ratings the show was doing very well and always occupied the channel’s top five slots. People liked the show and the feedback we receive is motivating and overwhelming. This is entirely the channel’s call as it apparently wants new shows and are doing away with its old shows,” says our source. It is now tipped that Contiloe’s Rani Lakshmi Bai will replace Maayka and Betiyann will be replaced by Sunshine Productions’ Karol Bagh. Karol Bagh is set against the backdrop of Delhi and the shooting is currently taking place in the capital. But our source from Rani Lakshmi Bai informs, “The channel wants us to create a sufficient number of episodes to launch Rani…by 17 August, but we don’t see it happening. Its taking us time to shoot the required number of episodes. I think the show will launch only after 25 August.” We tried contacting Producer Dheeraj Kumar but he remained unavailable. We also sent a text message to Zee TV Programming Head Ajay Bhalwankar but he didn’t revert.
