Recovering from conjunctivitis, the good looking Mayank Gandhi is hoping to return to TV soon with a dhamaka. The actor as we reported is the winner of Splitsvilla 7 along with Goan beauty Scarlett Rose.
When asked on the same he refused to talk about it but rather chose to speak on the numerous fights he had on the show. “I am a person who just cannot take shit from people. I am like this live wire and if you try to forcefully finger me you are bound to get electrocuted. I am someone who is usually good to people but if you mess with me I can play it real dirty.”
Talking about reality shows, Mayank quipped, “Reality shows surely give a good platform to youngsters to get noticed. I have been in the industry for quite some time but only through Splitsvilla have people got to recognize me. Also with MTV being a cult channel and Splitsvilla too having a great fan following, I have been really lucky with the show.”
The actor has also being part of another reality show Kaun Jeetega Bollywood Ka Ticket, and has fiction shows like Kasamh Se, Nandini and Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya under his belt.
When asked which one interests him more, Mayank shared, “Reality shows lets you try something different and fun. Dance shows really interest me and of course any guy would love to do all the stunts on Khatron Ke Khiladi. But what really tops my list is Bigg Boss; I would love to be a part of the show.”
“As far as fiction show is concerned, I really envy Mohit Malik who is getting to play such a powerful role in his show on Doli Armaanon Ki. I would love to do roles that help me present my acting abilities. All these years in the industry I am yet to get my due for sure,” he added.
Opening up on his dissatisfied career graph, Mayank averred, “There is a lot of favoritism among casting and creatives and that causes actors to lose on good roles.
Once I auditioned for show and since I knew the channel head I asked him about it. I was shocked when I got to know that they hadn’t received my audition tapes.
Being an outsider to this industry I am still struggling to get a strong foothold.”
Well Mayank as they say, perseverance is the key to success!
