Alan Kapoor and Shresth Kumar to play gangsters in Sony TV's Encounter

Sony Entertainment Television’s Encounter (Endemol) is all set to roll out its upcoming episode on the infamous Katta Shridhar gang, which ruled Mumbai underworld back in time with its heinous acts of crime and brutality. There have been media reports about talented Rohit Roy and Yuvraaj Malhotra being roped in to play the cops in the above episode, battling and hunting down the human vultures. Now, Tellychakkar.com has learnt that actor Alan Kapoor (Diya Aur Baati Hum) and Shresth Kumar (Bairi Piya fame) have been roped to play gangsters. They will be part of the Katta Shridhar gang. Alan will be Krishna, a ruthless man who would take charge of the Katta gang after the death of Katta Shridhar. Shresth will depict Ameya, a bindaas and a flamboyant guy. When contacted Alan, he shared, “Yes, I am playing a negative role. It is a very different character from the earlier ones that I have played. My look in the series is quite different and appealing.” We tried calling Shresth but he remained unavailable to comment. The particular episode will go on air this weekend.
