MUMBAI :Ever since the pandemic began, everyone has been stuck at home due to the lockdown and was made to celebrate every major festival at home with family. This was no problem for actor Sudhanshu Pandey, as he always prefers to spend the festive seasons at home with loved ones. This coming Diwali, he is looking forward to spending the time with his wife and two sons (Mona, Nirvaan and Vivaan).
Talking about his Diwali plans, he says, “For a change, this Diwali is COVID-free. I would be celebrating it with my family. I follow the ritual of Lakshmi Puja. I would see my dad do it for years, and now I do it. Diwali is an extremely auspicious occasion. I’m living a balanced life and pray that everyone gets the desired balance in their lives, too.”
Even though this will be a COVID-free Diwali, Sudhanshu believes that it should be celebrated in peace, in an eco-friendly way. He says, “Diwali should be peaceful and celebrated with light, diyas and rangoli. I feel it is a beautiful festival for everyone and the beauty should be retained by keeping it eco-friendly and not bursting any crackers.”
The actor also divulged that he will be taking one or two days as cheat days. After all, what’s Diwali without mithai? “I won’t follow any diet restrictions and will eat all the mithai and delicacies. During Diwali, one should enjoy the festivities without any bounds (smiles).”
Sudhanshu Pandey is a singer, film and television actor, and is known for his current role in the well-known TV serial, Anupamaa. He plays the character of Vanraj Shah in it.
