MUMBAI: Pearl V Puri is a popular television actor. These days he is in news for the wrong reasons.
The actor was arrested on June 4. He was arrested by Waliv Police Station, Vasai-Virar under the POCSO act after an FIR was filed against him for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl. The actor was presented in the Vasai court on June 5 and his bail was rejected hence he was sent to a judicial court.
The actor had again applied for bail and was presented in the same court today for the next hearing. And according to the latest development, the actor has been denied bail. The next hearing is on June 15.

After Pearl V Puri’s arrest, many celebrities including Ekta Kapoor, Nia Sharma, Aly Goni, Surbhi Jyoti, Karishma Tanna, Divya Khosla Kumar among others came forward and demanded justice for Pearl on social media. Divya Khosla Kumar also went on sharing a series of posts and went on making some shocking revelations about the whole case mentioning Pearl is being falsely accused and punished because of a marital conflict between the alleged victim's estranged parents. Also, an audiotape of Ekta Kapoor's conversation with the victim's mother went viral on the internet where she could be heard urging with the mother to come out and speak on the matter as the mother herself claimed Pearl is innocent and that her estranged husband was trying to trap him.
