So, what's our Parveen-babi look alike Deepshikha doing these days? Though not being seen much on television these days, the lovely lady is just back from Malaysia, where she was busy shooting for her forthcoming film Lara.
"I had a ball being in Malaysia!!! It was actually a work cum pleasure trip. This is the third time that I am visiting the country. My first visit was during the shooting for Fear Factor, a stunt show on Sony. The trip gave me a much needed change for me from the daily routine, as I got a chance wto be with myself and pamper myself. Now I feeling totally rejuvenated and refreshed. I also enjoyed doing shopping. I brought 25 pairs of shoes, bags, and other stuff " says an excited Deepshikha.
"The first part of the shooting was done in Kuala Lumpur and Port Dickson which is a two hour drive from Malaysia. At Kuala Lumpur, I stayed at Times Square and the twin towers were bang opposite my hotel. It was an awesome experience, as my sea facing room made me feel like I was on a cruise."
"Mumbai is after all Mumbai, there is no place like it."
"But, I was also a bit scared of the heavy rains in Malaysia, since it reminded me of the deadly Tsunami. The only sad thing about the whole trip was that I couldn't eat anything, since I am a vegetarian and most of the cuisine available there is non-vegetarian," she says.
So, did she miss Mumbai? "Ya, of course, I was dying to be back. I was missing the ghar ka khana, my family and wanted to sleep on my bed. Mumbai is after all Mumbai, there is no place like it."
When we queried her further about the film, on a rather reluctant note she said, "since I am bound by contract, I can't talk much about the character. All I can say is that it is a women oriented film. In the film, I play a character named Seema and Mukesh Tiwari is my husband. I am a business woman whose relationship with her husband is strained. "
The film which is being produced by a Malaysian production house Heart and Soul, is being directed by Deepak Bari, and the star cast includes Arbaaz Khan, Hrishita Bhatt.
