Ajay has been in the television industry ever since his childhood and ruled everyone's heart with his talented performances in so many TV shows.
The actor has managed to establish a name for himself in the showbiz world.
He is popularly known for his roles in C.I.D., Shriman Shrimati, Pardes, Ghar Jamai, Family No 1 among others.
TellyChakkar got in touch with Ajay who spoke in length about BALH 2 and much more.
You were adored for all the characters you played as a child artist and Dabboo's character from Pardes is one of them. Do you recollect any fond memories of sharing the screen with Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan or any fun memories from the shoot?
Shooting for Pardes was great fun. I got to work with industry stalwarts like Subhash Ghai, Amrish Puri and SRK. There are many fond memories of the movie but one in particular comes to mind where after we packed up we used to play football in our hotel and me, Aditya Narayan and Ahmed Khan (choreographer) used to be a team and SRK used to play solo with us being the forward and the goalie. He used to be so competitive that he used to trip us and take the ball knowing that we were kids. But all in a competitive spirit because he hated losing. He would never let us win because we were kids. I guess it was his way of tough love but I loved his refuse to lose attitude and still do.
A dream role that you wish to play on-screen?
I don't have any dream role as such as I never thought about it. I would like to play all kinds of roles and be versatile. I like to experiment with various kinds of roles.
Do you have any alternate profession apart from acting? What would you have been if not an actor?
I do not have an alternate career and acting is the only job that I do. When I was in the 9th standard I had to drop out of school because I was unable to manage my studies and shooting because I was doing two-three TV shows at the time and was busy for 25-28 days a month. So, since I was 14, I was very clear that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life and took such a drastic step and followed my dreams. God has been very kind that everything turned out better than I expected and I am living the dream of following my passion which is my work.
