MUMBAI: Kundali Bhagya has been the top Indian television show ever since its launch. With a stellar cast including the likes of Dheeraj Dhoopar (Karan), Shaddha Arya (Preeta), Sanjay Gagnani (Prithvi), Abhishek Kapur (Sameer), Anjum Fakih (Shrishti), Manit Joura (Rishabh), and an interesting plot, it has always kept the audience on the edge of their seats. In fact, the smart and cunning Prithvi (played by Sanjay Gagnani) always makes uncanny plans that bring about nasty twists on the show. However, looks like not only onscreen, but offscreen as well, the actor is quite the mastermind. He is all about making a positive difference in the society and hence, he brought together 23 TV celebrities for making a special appeal to all the Indians. He along with the stars released a song, Ghar Baitho India, that told people to stay home and stay safe during the COVID-19 outbreak.

By now, you all must be knowing that Sanjay Gagnani has been a big advocate of the Prime Minister’s 21-day lockdown. He understands that staying home and maintaining social distancing is the only weapon that can curb the deadly Corona virus. He has been time and again posting about how people should stay indoors. As he revealed, “As an actor, I feel responsible to spread awareness, help the people in need and add to the welfare of the nation. I have tried my best to do everything in my power to propagate the message of taking up social distancing. In fact, I’ve stepped out of my house with proper safety and met people from the slums, distributed groceries and vegetables and have shared knowledge about the novel Corona virus with them as well, so that they could keep themselves and their families safe.” The song features the likes of Nishant Malkani, Aditi Sharma, Avinesh Rekhi, Poonam Preet, Sunayna Fozdar, Aneri Vajani, Vaishnavi Prajapati, Waseem Mushtaq, Sapna Thakur, Harsh Rajput, Zaan Khan, Manit Joura among others.

Sanjay Gagnani also knows the fact that fans and citizens look up to celebrities and tend to follow the way of life that they endorse. Hence, he chose to get several TV celebrities to make the special appeal as he knew that each set of celebrities’ fan base would help the song effectively reach the widest set of audience. He added, “When I came across the Ghar Baitho India song on a social media platform, I understood how essential it was in such times of global crisis and that it had to reach to the whole country. I got in touch with the vocalists Viruss and Mr Anup Kumar from music label Acme Music, and they were ecstatic with my idea of taking it to a larger audience and featuring more than 20 celebrities who are eager to contribute to generate social awareness thus creating an impact.”

Sanjay and celebrity manager Rupesh collectively sent names of celebrities to the music label, who finally shortlisted 23 celebrities to be featured in the music video. “At this stage, Rupesh and I started collecting the footage for the song from all our generous friends in the industry, who shot their parts on their phones in the comfort of their beautiful home. All these clips were then passed on to our editor Sameer Mere, who gave the finishing touch and turned it into a beautifully curated video. Thus, ghar baithe baithe, the music video ‘Ghar Baitho India’ featuring more than 20 celebrities was ready for release!,” added Gagnani.
