Low TRPs see an early end for Big Brother

Big Brother, the British reality TV show that made Shilpa Shetty an international star, has been scrapped midway through the second season. Channel 4, the broadcaster, made an announcement on Wednesday. The channel will also not be having another series of this popular reality show. The winner’s prize too has been scrapped. The contestants fled from the house on 25 August which led Big Brother to term them as boring. <em>Big Brother</em> gave the surprise news to the contestants the same night.

Apparently, the real reason for the closure is attributed to low viewership. This year the show has attracted an average of just two million viewers as compared to eight million in the last few seasons. Well, Big Brother may now be evicted lets see how our Bigg Boss fares in its upcoming third season.
