MUMBAI: The sudden decision of the state government to put a mini lockdown in place and bring in more restrictions has affected quite a lot of sectors, and the entertainment industry has also been affected as shootings have been called off until May 1 in Maharashtra.

Many serials haven’t had bank episodes to be telecast so they have shifted their base to another state to continue the shoot.

Balaji Telefilms has shifted their base to Goa, whereas other shows like Imlie and Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali have shifted base to Hyderabad.

This weekend, serials are having difficulty in telecasting episodes owing to the lack of bank episodes.

As per media reports, Pandya store will have a one-hour episode this weekend from 10 to 11 PM.

On the other hand, Anupama, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, and Yeh Hai Chahatein won’t be telecaste this weekend, although there is no confirmation about the same.

Well, there is no doubt that owing to the lockdown and curfew restrictions, it becoming very difficult and challenging for TV shows to shoot.

The COVID cases are rising as days are passing by, and more challenges will have to be faced by everyone.
