The pretty and glamorous Payal Rohatgi who has charmed viewers with her bold avatar in films like Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai?, 36 China Town and also rocked in TV shows like Survivor India and Bigg Boss 2 is all set to star in a Gujarati film.
The actress who has her roots in Ahmedabad keeps visiting the city quite often and gets numerous offers from their industry but the girl till now had been skeptical about taking up a project.
As Payal shared with us, “I had been apprehensive but now with so many good projects coming up in Gujarati industry and with Paresh Rawal soon launching a Filmcity in Gujarat; you can understand its growth. Also recently the superstar of yesteryears, Jackie Shroff signed a film. Having approached for a brilliant concept, I thought why not take the chance and see how it works out.”
Talking about the project she averred, “It’s a female oriented project where a girl gets into an arrange marriage alliance which goes kaput soon. A love triangle blooms up from there which explores relationship. It’s a very positive film that will go on floors in some time.”
And when we asked the girl on what kind of project she would like to do, she replied, “I am open to do projects which would give me a chance to explore my talent. I think I am yet to get my due in Bollywood and thus I am open to projects in other industry also. I am hopeful that with this project, more doors will soon open up,” smiled Payal.
