Varun And Rajeshwari
They almost bagged the title of Nach Baliye in the first season and now, once again the the Varun-Rajeshwari jodi is ready to boogie on the small screen. No, it's not for the next instalment of this reality dance show, this time around it's a cameo for UTV's afternoon saga on Star Plus, Bhabhi. The duo will be enthralling the viewers by gyrating on the foot-tapping Bollywood hit, aaj ki raat hona hain kya… from the SRK starrer Don. Their special appearance in the show will definitely click as there's no doubt that Rajeshwari is a suave dancer and post NB, Varun too earned many a laurels. The scenario on Bhabhi 's sets, where the dance is being canned, was already ignited as the chemistry between Rajeshwari and Varun was quite apparent. "We are enjoying each and every moment," says this star couple, who we prefer keeping a low profile in their personal lives. So what actuated the decision of coming together for a cameo in Bhabhi? "I did it for economy," laughs Varun while Rajeshwari voices, "I took it up as I my schedule permitted and also because I share a good rapport with UTV." These days, the trend of casting a real life couple together in a TV show is very much TRP friendly, so is this jodi planning to cash in on it? "Now that's not in our hands, but let's see," Varun says with a glint of anticipation. Talking about Varun's current shows, he is making his presence felt with Star Plus' Ek Chabi Hain Pados Main and DD's Soni Mahiwal. However, wife Rajeshwari, who was last seen in SAB's Ji Bhenji has no new shows to boast about these days. "I like to work my own way and am not in hurry for anything. Yes, I am not seen much these days as I like to slow down on my work," she states. Though there's nothing substantial happening for the lady on the small screen, she is already in talks for a Marathi film, to be directed by Renuka Shahane. On the other hand Varun is still awaiting offers from Bollywood. "I have been in the TV industry for a few years, but have yet not received any film offers. I am still looking forward to a good proposal," hopes Varun. On an optimistic note, he adds, "I am happy with the kind of work I am doing on television."
