Versatile and ace actor Rajev Paul was for long not seen on television as he was penning down a book titled Mumbai, Mohabbat aur Tanhai. He came down to our office as a guest editor and recited beautifully woven poems from the book (we were very impressed). And guess what? His book has received great response and to commemorate the achievement, Rajev recently held a get-together at a book store. Eminent people from the entertainment fraternity who had come down to wish him were Farhan Akhtar, Raajeshwari, Satish Kaushik, Karishma Tanna, Raghu Ram, amongst many others.
Farhan Akhtar recited a couple of poems from the actor’s book and so did songstress Raajeshwari along with Rajev. Simple Kaul, who also graced the occasion with her presence, also recited a few poems and so did the author’s brother Rakesh Paul.
Speaking to Tellychakkar.com, Rajev said, “It is a pleasure that all my friends from the fraternity have turned up. I am thankful to my fans and everyone who read my book and also recommended others to read it. I feel this is because of their gracefulness that the book is a raving success.”
He continued, “I want more and more people to read and understand the meaning and depth of it. People tell me that I am trying to be like Farhan Akhtar, but he knew it from the very beginning that I have been writing since long now. I, for one can, admit that I am nowhere close to Farhan. Many people thought that I cannot write as I never tried writing, but seeing the overwhelming response, I feel that I should continue with it.”
Farhan shared, “I know Rajiv writes from very beginning and he is very well versed with his poems. I wish him all the very best for the success of his book.”
On the other hand, his brother Rakesh said, “I can nowhere reach near to bhai. I know that I write funny stuff whereas bhai writes meaningful stuff. I am very happy for him.”
Well let’s grab a copy of his book Mumbai, Mohabbat aur Tanhai… and read on…
