Rajiv Mehta to star in Bachchan film

Rajiv Mehta, who became a popular TV name with characters like Praful in Khichdi, will now be seen as Sonal Chauhan’s father in AB Corp’s Bbuddah – Hoga Tera Baap starring Amitabh Bachchan. Mehta is currently seen in Mukti Bandhan on Colors as Dalichand. So how did Mehta get the role? “Puri Jaggannath, the director of the film, saw my work in Khichdi. He thought I would fit the role. Initially, it took me by surprise because ironically my role in the film is completely opposite as of what I have portrayed before. My character is that of a marriage registrar, who is against the concept of love marriage, and he gets hyper when his daughter contemplates one with Sonu Sood”, Mehta informs.
