Continuing with the trend of creating a big noise about ‘television weddings’, Sony’s Baat Hamari Pakki Hai will celebrate that of Saachi and Shravan amidst hype and hoopla this Sunday. Celebrities such as, Ragini Khanna, Jay Soni, Mahhi Vij, Aamir Ali, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Rakhi Sawant, Bappi Lahiri, Krishna, Sudesh Lahiri, Bharti Singh, Anu Malek, Sunidhi Chauhan, Salim Merchant along with the participants of Indian Idol 5 and Boogie Woogie will be performing on the wedding day. Producer Tony Singh says, “The theme of our show is that marriages are made in heaven and if someone is made for the other, then they will tie the knot against all odds. And so to make this marriage ceremony different from the other marriages on TV and to make it a little unusual than the rest we decided to make it grander.” We spoke to the dulha, actor Barun Sobti who says, “As many celebs are attending our marriage and everyone is working very hard, shooting for 18 long hours especially Ankita and I, even we are performing to the song, ‘Ahun ahun ahun’ for the Bollywood Night which has been shot yesterday.” Ankita Sharma aka Saachi says, “I am very much excited as well as exhausted shooting for it, but at the same time Barun and I are having masti on the sets as we are finding this as a real part of our lives, as if hamari sach mein shaadi ho rahi hai. I have danced to ‘Bole choodiyan’, my favorite number, as I just love dancing and wanted to perform once! The most touching moment for me, while shooting was the bidaai sequence when my on screen family actually started crying when I was leaving, as we are very attached to each other. I was also stunned when I heard we had ordered almost 100 kilos of laddoos for the marriage and they were so yummy that everyone ate them up leaving nothing for the couple!” Well, we can only ‘burp’ to that!
