The actor who has filmmakers for parents(Sharbani and Debu Deodhar) residing in Pune, says she had been toying with the idea of starting the school for quite some time until husband Shakti pushed the family to get the plan materialised. "We had been planning to start the school for a long time, but never got down to doing it. Mom, Dad, Shakti and myself have been involved in the school. The school will go parallel with our other projects in hand. My parents are extremely knowledgeable in terms of knowing the art and they are an institution by themselves. We are not looking at this as a business, rather the school is a result of their passion for work and we are making the most of it. We are targeting television and film acting and not teaching theatre acting, so it's going to be all about how to be oneself in front of the camera," smiles an excited Sai, who also dabbled in documentary filmmaking. The family has roped in freelance teachers(from Kishor Namit Kapoor's acting school) from Mumbai. Besides, her parents will also take some classes. There will be no fixed age group for the students. The school will target having 40 students and have weekend classes to begin with. The Deodhars are looking at word of mouth publicity rather than resorting to conventional methods.
