Shalini Arora to enter Phulwa

Swastik Pictures' television drama Phulwa on Colors carved a niche for itself for having a unique storyline. The show revolves around the life of notorious deceased dacoit, Phoolan Devi. In the show, Thakur (Sai Balal) has always been creating problems for Phulwa (Sargun Mehta). But she is not the only one who is having a tough time dealing with his evil designs. In the upcoming episodes, Thakur's wife Thakuraeen will come back from her pilgrimage. She is one scared lady who has been subdued and dominated by Thakur over the years. Thakur considers his wife as a piece of toy and thinks she is unlucky. Thakuraaen always keeps mum and never fights for her rights. She will come to know about the death of her son, Chote Thakur, only after her return. Though saddened by her loss, she will still treat Abhay (Ajay Choudhary) – illegitimate child of Thakur – as her own child and shower him with love and affection. Furthermore, the news that is filtering in is that Shalini Arora of Pavitra Rishta fame has been roped in to play the character of Thakuraeen. We spoke to Shalini who confirmed her entry in the show and said, "Yes I am doing the show. It is a very interesting storyline. That is all I can say at this point of time." Well, we hope Shalini's character learns a trick or two from Phulwa and fights against injustice and exploitation. All hail women empowerment!!!
