Shreya Ghoshal almost lost Music Ka Muqabla

TellyChakkar had written about Himesh Reshammiya, Shankar Mahadevan, Shaan, Mika, Mohit Chauhan and Shreya Ghosal being the six mentors finalised for Music ka Maha Muqabla. At a recently held press-conference of the show, Ghoshal, the only female mentor was conspicuous by her absence. And if that was not enough, her team of singers – Aabhas Joshi, Aneek Dhar and Ujjaini Mukherjee -- were asked to leave the conference. Reason? No mentor, no team. So what happened? Says a source, “Shreya was all set to attend the press conference. But she didn’t turn up. Apparently, there were some last minute hiccups regarding her contract. So she didn’t sign it. She was so adamant on getting all her demands fulfilled that the channel and the production house unanimously decided to replace her but things were resolved later. She is finally doing the show now. It was because of her that the production house had to claim that the sixth team was a surprise and would be revealed later.” Phew, the channel barely managed to save their face. We texted Ghoshal for a confirmation but she didn’t revert.
