MUMBAI: As winter sets in, the cool breeze and cozy evenings also bring a challenge everyone relates to - dry, frizzy, and moisture-starved hair. For television actors constantly moving between outdoor shoots, harsh lighting, and changing temperatures, maintaining their hair's health becomes even more essential. This season, Sony SAB’s beloved artists share their mindful rituals, simple habits, and nourishing winter haircare routines that help them protect their locks and stay camera-ready through the cold.

Anshul Trivedi, who plays Jugal in Pushpa Impossible, shared, “Winters are brutal on the scalp, especially with long shoot hours and constant air-conditioning. I’ve learnt the hard way that you can’t treat hair casually in this season. I stick to warm oil once or twice a week, avoid overwashing, and let my hair breathe whenever I’m not shooting. The simpler I keep it in winter, the better my hair behaves! Honestly, most of it is just basic care and consistency.”

Sejal Shah, who essays the role of Madhumita in Pushpa Impossible, shared, “The cold weather can make hair feel dull very quickly, so I focus on nourishment. Deep conditioning becomes my best friend in winter. I also apply a homemade mask of aloe vera and curd whenever I get a day off. It restores moisture beautifully. I believe that healthy hair starts from within, so I drink a lot of water even when I don’t feel thirsty in the cold.”

Shrenu Parikh, who essays the role of Goddess Parvati in Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki Ganesh Kartikey, shared, “With the heavy wigs and jewellery I wear as Parvati, my hair needs special winter care. I rely on warm coconut oil massages to keep my scalp calm and hydrated. A good serum after washing also helps control frizz, which doubles in winter. My simple rule is consistency — even small weekly rituals make a big difference in keeping my hair soft and strong.”

Neha SK Mehta, who plays Hetal in Itti Si Khushi, shared, “Winter is lovely, but it’s definitely not kind to the hair! I make sure to switch to richer, more hydrating products during this season. A weekly hot oil champi and a nourishing hair mask help me manage dryness. I also avoid washing my hair with very hot water because it strips away natural oils. Little mindful steps go a long way in keeping hair healthy through the cold months.”
