MUMBAI: A decade back, COLORS decided to break through and put forth gripping stories and characters with issues that were very real. With shows like Balika Vadhu, Udaan, Uttaran and Shakti, COLORS highlighted the struggles the social evils that women are subjected to. Continuing this strong tradition, COLORS brings another socially relevant narrative about the custom of buying brides in India with the story of Purvi, a 19-year old girl who is married off to a much older man.
