Ekta Kapoor’s ambitious love story, Tere Liye, is soon going to bid goodbye to its viewers. Going by reports and rumours of a feud between the production house and the channel the show will be going off air sometime this month.
A source informs, "The production house had got a warning to improve the quality of its work and the storyline. The channel was unhappy with the way Balaji handled the show and ignored its inputs. There was initial speculation whether even the stars would be attending the award function held by the channel in Macau. Now however the channel has put down its foot and given the show an ultimatum to wrap the show around mid March. And no, the World Cup no longer affects the launch of serials. Besides, the World Cup would have got over in the first week of April so the launch date is not dependent on the World Cup.”
Another source confirms, “Tere Liye though picked up a bit will have to wind up now. Navya which is co-produced by Swastik Pictures and Vivek Bahl will take its place in the 10 pm slot instead. The show has finished shooting 10 episodes and can go on air soon."
Siddharth Tewary of Swastik Pictures says, “I have no official confirmation as to when Navya will go on air as this is a channel decision.” Nikhil Arya, who plays Ritesh in Tere Liye, says, “I haven't been shooting for 15 days now and I will get a clearer picture today."
Harshad Chopda echoed his words and said, "I have no idea about the latest developments."
