The day time stopped for Romit and Tina...

A page from the personal diary of Romit Raj 15 November 2010: It was a winter day, one of the most memorable days of my life. I was travelling from Mumbai to Pune in order to meet Tina for a lunch date. I feel the day was meant to be special because it was just perfect weather wise. I met Tina at one of the malls in Pune. She then took me to a famous food joint just opposite the mall. When I was with her that day, it felt perfect, nothing else can be better than this, just me and her. We spoke throughout the day in the restaurant. Believe me, the best part was that we never realized that it had become so late. We spoke for around four to five hours. It was only after realizing the hours that had sped by that I looked around the restaurant and found no one but only us and the waiters who were hoping for us to leave as soon as possible so that they could shut down for the evening. When we came in, there were 50-60 people in the room and finally there was only me and Tina in the room. We both looked at each other and thought that we never realized what was happening around us, we were so engrossed in each other. We spoke about our families, education, life and discovered that we have so many common relatives in Kolkata. Tina is born and brought up in Kolkata and I lived there for 12 long years before coming in the television industry. I was speaking to her about that day recently and asked how we managed those four to five hours all aloof from the world. That’s when she confessed that she was trying to figure out who I am and found all the qualities of ‘her guy’ in me. Learning this, my happiness knew no bounds, because even I was thinking the same thing. All these reasons helped me make my decision to spend a lifetime with her. All these feelings of love and affection make you realize the meaning of life and also the importance of what that special person in your life means to you. Very few people are lucky to get such unconditional love in life. By God’s grace I am one of them.
