The next-best-couple soon on Sony

There is a spate of family shows lined up on Sony. Along with Hum Ladkiyan and Mai Bihayi Kirpaar Ki, yet another family drama will soon be launched. Talking about the new show a source from the production house informed, "The show is titled Bandhini. It was earlier titled as Sangini. The story is about a girl and a boy who become inseparable. It is a prime time show that will start from mid-October. Maninder, who played Juhi Chawla and Manoj Bajpai's son in the film Swami , will be seen in the lead role. Debutant Jayshree will play the female lead. Other actors in the show are Pankaj Dheer, Neelu Kohli and Rinku Ghosh, who has earlier played the lead role in Durgesh Nandini ." Elaborating on the story, the source added, "The lead actress essays the role of a simple girl who resides in a holy city. One day, she finds a boy near the river in an unconscious state. The girl brings him home and she nurses him. The boy's family is worried and are desperately trying to locate him. They eventually trace him and land up at the girl's place. Due to his memory loss, he fails to recognise them. It is just the girl whom he knows. His family wants him to return with them but he wishes to return only if this girl comes along with him. So the girl goes along with him." Producer Rashmi Sharma says, "I am excited about this show. We have found the lead actors after a great search. I am sure that they will be the next- best- pair on television. I won't talk anything more about it as it is too early to speak." We sense deja vu. What about you?
