Firstly, we at Tellychakkar want to wish all our readers a Happy Rose Day. “Fragrance always remains in the hands of those who distribute roses,” goes a saying. For some people who are shy in nature, sending roses seems to be one of the best ways to express feelings of love and affection. Varied colours of roses have diverse significance. Generally, a red rose symbolises desire and passion, yellow rose symbolises friendship, pink stands for love, gratitude and appreciation, white signifies purity and innocence. Lastly, a lavender rose signifies love at first sight and Black is meant to be offered to enemies. On this occasion of Rose Day (7 February 2013), we called up some TV stars and asked them who would they like to offer roses and which colour to their friends and companions in the fraternity. Gurmeet Choudhary,, who is seen as Yash in Zee TV’s Punar Vivaah said, “I already gave a red rose to my lovely wife Debina. And now I would give yellow and white roses to my close friends and dear ones. Rose Day, is a day when you can show your love towards your close ones. In a way, it is a form to tell people that we are glad to be with them. So, celebrate this day with lots love and happiness.” Beautiful and talented Pratyusha Bannerjee, aka Anandi from Colors’ Balika Vadhu stated, “I would give a red rose to my boyfriend Makrand Malhotra and yellow roses to my close pals.” What about black? “I don’t mind if someone gives me a black rose. It is difficult to find black colour roses, but all said and done, it looks very classy and sexy. Do you know black is my favourite colour.” Shared handsome hunk Rithvik Dhanjani, aka Arjun from Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta, “Well, I haven’t given roses to anyone yet. Actually I don’t believe in the concept of Rose Day. It looks too clichéd for me. Rose Day is meant for lovers. If a person wants to give rose than it has to be a red rose. And I would like to give a red rose to my mom.” Averred Rubina Dilaik,, who was last seen in Sony Entertainment TV’s Saas Bina Sasural, “According to a rose and its significance, I will give a red rose to my better half Avinash (Sachdev) while yellow roses would go to my close friends. But I believe I would rather grow roses than plucking them.” “Thank you for informing me that it is Rose Day today. I used to celebrate it when I was in college. Today, Rose Day is just like any other day. But now that I have learnt about it, I will go ahead to present one to my girlfriend Neha Swami. I would also like to present white roses to all my lovely fans,” observed Arjun Bijlani,, well known as Mayank from the show Miley Jab Hum Tum. Asha Negi,, who is currently seen as Purvi in Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta maintained, “I would give yellow roses to the entire team of Pavitra Rishta namely Jia (Mustafa), Shruti (Kanwar) and Rithvik (Dhanjani). I would keep the red rose for my future partner (smiles).” Lastly, Soumya Seth, who is currently seen in Channel V’s The Serial and will soon be seen in Sony Entertainment Television’s Dil Ki Nazar Se Khoobsurat, added, “I have got a big list. First of all, I simply love myself so would give a red rose to myself and would keep some for my family. Yellow will go to my close buddies namely Abigail (Jain), Karan (Kundra), Pooja (Gor), Raj (Arora), Vikas Gupta (producer) and other members associated with the show. I would also give yellow roses to everyone who was associated with my last show Navya.” Well readers, let us know to which actor you would like to give roses. Hit the comment section!!!
