MUMBAI: Actor Varun Badola needs no introduction.

He is one of the most popular faces on television and is evidently a visual delight on television. Recently seen in Mere Dad Ki Dulhan portraying the character of Amber Sharma, Varun has mesmerized his audience and the young audience is in love with each shade he projects.

Well, did you know that along with being a gifted artist, Varun is also a dialogue writer? While he has written for a couple of shows in the past, he recently turned a dialogue writer of Netflix’s upcoming project, Naina!

In an exclusive conversation with Varun, he cherished his journey and experience writing for the project. 

Varun said, "Dialogue writing can never be a hobby because I don’t do it in my leisure time. There is a history attached to it. I started writing as an additional dialogue writer and even after I also did my shows. There were times when my contribution was needed and I did it. I wrote a few episodes of Astitva and one day I was starting my new show titled Ek Chabi Hai Pados Mein where Siddharth Sengupta was directing the show and he wanted a few dialogues to be changed and I was referred to him. So I ended up working on the first 20 episodes of the show barring a few episodes. In 2017 November, he called me again asking me if I am interested in writing a web show and that is how Apaharan came into existence post which I did Andhekhi which came on Sonyliv. This was followed by the second season of Apaharan and as for Naina, we have been working on the project for a long time.”
