MUMBAI: After a super hit first season that delighted audiences, stalwarts of the Indian television industry, Ronit Roy, Mona Singh, Gurdeep Kohli, Apurva Agnihotri along with Pooja Banerjee and Palak Jain return to your mobile screens with the second season of Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain on ALTBalaji app. With the audience having a host of questions, regarding what path the show takes post the first season’s conclusion, one can surely expect the second season to take the excitement quotient up another notch. The beautiful Gurdeep Kohli who plays Poonam in the show had tied her apron strings to home hearth and husband. But in season 2 she suddenly finds her heart free of attachment. She embarks her own journey in this season of discovering new love, feeling wanted, and then letting go. She also finds a great friendship in her ex-husband. Lets find out what Gurdeep has to say about her experience while working for KKHH2.

1. With the show garnering plaudits from all corners from the country, audiences can’t seem to get enough of the Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain. With the second season underway, what are your expectations from the show?

With the first season largely focusing on the love story between Rohit and Ananya, this season will throw more light on Poonam ‘s character. Poonam will emerge very strongly showcasing a completely different side to her. I am hopeful of people liking this new side of me in this season.

2. Did you play a role in the script undergoing alterations or was it a pre-planned decision?

Riding on the success of the first season, it was important that the viewers are treated to something new and intriguing to look forward to. The decision to give the audience a new Poonam for the second season was taken by the makers of the show. Taking into account the best interests of what the audience’s tastes are.  And I am glad that it happened as I truly loved essaying the new Poonam character. Poonam is no less than an inspiration to millions of women around the country, telling them that there is life after divorce too.

3. A lot has been spoken about your character in the series. What kind of a lady is Poonam in Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain 2?

Poonam, the character who I play in the show, is an extremely individualistic woman. She’s one that’s level-headed, but has gone through severe hardships in life that has now filled her with sadness from within. This is a completely different personality from what I am in real life. I firmly believe in living life to the fullest and not pondering over things that do not or will not matter. What you see on screen is poles apart from Gurdeep. I am one who likes to chat, sit on the set after the shot and mingle and hang around with the team.

4. Could you take us through the experience of working with two highly-reputed stars in the form of Mona Singh and Ronit Roy?

The pleasure is all mine, to be honest, when it comes to working with these two stalwarts. They are both brilliant actors in their own craft. A lot of people scared me before-hand telling me that Ronit is someone who is a serious actor in person. But it’s actually not true. This season, the rapport that the two of us share is much more on the lighter side and we’re great friends now. Mona on the other hand is a very good friend, we love cracking jokes and laughing around all the time. She is a wonderful person and a great friend.

5. Two fine ladies at the top of their game. What’s the rapport that you share with Mona?

The bond’s one that grows stronger with every passing day. When it comes to Mona, I knew her from before, but this was the first time where the two of us were working together. She is absolutely fantastic at what she does. And the best part about her is that she is a very genuine person. There is nothing fake. What you see, is what you get when it comes to Mona. There’s no serious Mona on and off the set. She is just herself, which is so real and lovely. The reason why we hit it off so well is because even I share the same personality traits as her. That’s why we share a connect that is much thicker than before.
