MUMBAI : In the third season of the upcoming murder thriller drama 'Aarya,' veteran actress Ila Arun talked about working with Sushmita Sen and how their friendship eventually became unbreakable. In the show, Ila portrays Nalini Sahiba.

When discussing the same, Ila said, "The moment I landed the role in 'Aarya 3', I was filled with anticipation about seeing Sushmita once more. Our previous collaboration on 'Chingaari' had already formed a strong bond and mutual respect between us, and it was during that time that I truly got to know the actor in her. Before that, I had known and appreciated her as a model and Miss Universe, but witnessing her on set revealed her incredible strength.”

The 69-year-old actress added, “Even when she faced a brief illness during 'Aarya,' my concern was palpable. However, when she returned to the set, it was as if she hadn't suffered at all. The majority of my scenes were with her, and during the shoots, we resided in neighbouring villas and truly, there was an abundance of affection. She affectionately refers to me as 'Ma’.”

In the series, Sushmita portrays Aarya Sareen. In the third season, Aarya has her sights set on the production and distribution of illegal substances, but Ila Arun, who is unquestionably the top supply-side player, stops her.

ACP Khan was distracted in the second season, is hot on Aarya's trail and would stop at nothing to bring an end to the illicit drug lord's enterprise. As Aarya is forced into a corner, she pulls her claws out and attacks with impunity because Daulat is on her side.

The action is violent in the subsequent scenes, and there is a battle when a wounded Aarya draws her swords to slice anyone who attempts to harm her children.

The wait is over as the fan-favorite franchise returns with its third season with new challenges, newer foes, and newer ambitions. Season one of the franchises received an international Emmy Award nomination, while seasons two and three were also successful.

'Aarya 3' will begin airing on Disney+ Hotstar on November 3 and was created, co-directed, and co-produced by Amita Madhavni, Ram Madhvani Films, and Endemol Shine India.
