MUMBAI: Harsh Rajput is a well-known actor in the entertainment world who has been slowly rising up to become one of the most prolific actors.

He made his television debut with Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan on StarPlus. He also played roles in the television series Dharm Veer, Hitler Didi, and Crazy Stupid Ishq.

He appeared in the supernatural television series Nazar on StarPlus, produced by 4 Lions Films, and starred Niyati Fatnani in the lead character of Ansh Rathod. He later portrayed a major character in the Naagin 5 spinoff Kuch Toh Hai: Naagin Ek Naye Rang Mein on Colors TV.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Harsh and asked him if he ever got the offer of Bigg Boss or Khatron Ke Khiladi and he also spoke about how an actor survives when he doesn't have work.

What does an actor do when he doesn't have work and how does he survive?

I feel like every actor knows how to survive and it's not a stable job and one realises it when he doesn't have a job, but everyone knows it from before. I feel along with acting one should have a back up when it comes to this profession.

How many projects did you say "No' and then the show became successful?

I had a lot of projects, during my shoot of Naazar I had got a call for Mardaani 2 and I so wanted to do and then I was doing a daily soap and to get a holiday was not possible and if you are a lead of show it's even impossible the option is only one has to leave the show and do another project so that is one project which I regret not doing. On Television nothing has such things happen. Roles are written for a particular actor and some or the other way it will come to you.

You never got the offer of Khatron Ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss?

Khatron Ke Khiladi my talks were on from the past two - three years but things didn't work out and hopefully next year I would be part of the show and for Bigg Boss I am not ready so I have said a no before only.

Well, there is no doubt that the actor has been away from the industry for quite some time and the fans miss watching him on screen.
