Rupali Ganguly shares guilt about not being there for her son Rudransh; Says ‘Feels so left out’

MUMBAI: Rupali Ganguly is one of the popular divas from the TV industry who does not need any introduction.  The actress has won millions of hearts with her portrayal of ‘Anupama’ in the popular show alongside Gaurav Khanna as Anuj. She marked her debut on the small screen with Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, she portrayed an iconic role in the sitcom. Since then she never looked back.

She is married to Ashwin K Verma and they are blessed with a son, Rudransh. Several times Rupali has candidly spoken about staying away from her husband and child due to hectic work schedules. Moreover, she applauds her husband for fulfilling her duties in the house in her absence and willingly takes a back seat from his own career.

In a recent interaction with the popular news portal, Rupali Ganguly delved into the perils of being a working woman, which hampers her from spending satisfactory time with her son, Rudransh. Being one of the highest-paid actresses on television, Rupali indeed leads a hectic schedule, with barely any time for her child or husband. However, she couldn’t have been more thankful for it is her husband, Ashwin, who pulls off the dual responsibilities of a mother and father for their son.

She said, “He is a better mother than me. I have just given birth to my son but maa toh mere husband hain.”

She added, “You feel so left out. I feel like, hey I am there. I feel we women, wherever we work we do it with guilt. We are blessed to have such husbands who are proud of us and who are such fantastic role models for our children.”

Earlier, in an interview with the popular news portal, Rupali Ganguly talked about her real-life love story with her husband, Ashwin. The actress recalled their first meeting and how he saw her in a get-up of a 60-year-old lady for one of her shoots. Ashwin was taken aback by her strange praise, as he desired to spend his retirement with Rupali.

Adding how there wasn’t really a formal ‘I love you’ moment for them, She said, “And then I was dressed up as a 60-year-old, as a wife. Suddenly, when I came out as a 60-year-old with white hair and everything, the first line Ashwin said was I wouldn’t mind getting old with someone like you. There was never ‘I Love You’. We directly got married.”
