MUMBAI : Debchandrima Singha Roy is a well known actress down south and she has been part of many successful projects.

The actress has a good fan following and is loved by the audience.

The actress is finally debuting in the Hindi television industry with COLORS upcoming show ‘Suhagaan Chudail’

She is the lead in the show along with Nia Sharma and Zayn Ibad Khan.

The show is all set to be launched soon.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Debchandrima and asked her why she suddenly made this shift from south to Hindi and how difficult it was for her to speak the language of Hindi.

You were well established down south what made you take the decision to come to the Hindi side of work and you chose this project and no women centric project?

I am not in a position where I can choose what I want to do, the only thing with me was that I wanted to do something good, something new and fresh. I always wanted to be part of the Indian television industry so when the offer came I didn’t think and just grabbed the opportunity.

How difficult is it to learn the dialogues from south and now hindi?  

I can’t tell you how difficult it is for me as at times I don’t get sleep at night as I need to study the dialogues and I literally beg them to give the script and the dialogues earlier.

There is a saying that two actresses cannot work on a project together. What do you have to say about it?

I don’t have time for all this as I just focus on my work and I  don’t care what people are saying as Nia has really helped during the shoots and she is such a lovely person then what to say.

Well, there is no doubt that the fans are super excited to see her in a complete new avatar in the upcoming show.
