MUMBAI: Alia Bhatt made her second appearance at MET Gala 2024 and left her fans on X, floored.

Raha's mom Alia Bhatt made a grand entry at the MET Gala 2024, donning a stunning floral saree which was designed by ace designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The actress who made her MET Gala debut on May 7, 2023, did not confirm her presence in advance. Alia's fans and Twitterati were obsessed with Alia's look from the MET Gala 2024 as her iconic pallu trail did all the talking.

Alia's custom-made saree captured the essence of MET Gala's theme this year which was, "Sleeping Beauty: Reawakening Fashion". The dress code was "The Garden of Time". Before stepping onto the red carpet, the actress told Vogue, "The sari's design, with its translucent, glass-like appearance is not just a nod to the ethereal quality of the garden in Ballard's story but also a tribute to the exquisite, enduring craft of sari-making".

She further added, "What drew me to this look was the sheer audacity of how it merges traditional craftsmanship with avant-garde aesthetics. Sabyasachi, known for his dedication to bringing old-world charm and modern sophistication together, seemed like the perfect choice to encapsulate the theme of this year's Met Gala".
