Raveena Tandon was born on the 26th October, 1974. She mostly appeared in Tamil, Kannada and Telugu films apart from films in Hindi. She made her acting debut with the film 'Pathar Ke phool' in the year 1991 and even won an award for it.She is the daughter of Ravi Tandon who was a film director and her mother Veena is a homemaker. She won the Filmfare Lux new face award for her performance in her film.Before getting into acting she also modelled, after which she had many commercial hits. The movies which bloomed out into a success were Mohra in the year 1994, Khiladiyon Ka khiladi in the year 1996, and Ziddi in the year 1997.Untill she had shot these movies she hadnt been acclaimed as an actress but after 2000's in films like Aks in the year 2001, Satta in the year 2003. She studied at Mithibai college where she dropped out because she wanted to pursue her career in modelling.Her movie Andaz Apna Apna was a hit it was the only source which drew her more closer to success. The reason behind her slow walk towards success could have been Karishma Kapoor as she took over the industry and gave some hit films to the audience. She got back again into action when she was offered the movie 'Ziddi' in the year 1997. In the year 1994, the media alleged that she had a up and down affair with Akshay kumar.She hosted the show 'Isi Ka Naam Zindagi'. Her comeback film was 'Budha Hoga Tera Baap' with Amitabh Bacchan where she even performed an item number.In the 1990's she adopted two children and looked after Pooja and Chaya as a single mother. She then married Anil Thandani on 22nd Feb, 2004, after dating him for a while. She has two children: Rasha and Ranbir.
