Sriti Jha, (born on February 26, 1986) is an Indian television actress best known for her roles as Jhanvi Viraj Dobriyal / Sia Raghavendra Pratap Singh in the show Dil Se Di Dua... Saubhagyavati Bhava? on Life OK and as Ganga in Balika Vadhu on Colors TV.
Sriti Jha was born in Begusarai in Bihar.[1] She is originally from Darbhanga.She spent 10 years in Kolkata, West Bengal after which she moved to Nepal where she attended Modern Indian School in Kathmandu. She later shifted to Delhi where she studied in Laxman Public School. It is a lesser known fact that she is not only a good actor but an excellent dancer as well. During her early days in school, she was highly popular mainly for her dancing skills and not for her acting skills
After completing her schooling, she joined Sri Venkateswara College for English (H) Course . There she joined the English dramatics society named "Verbum" in 2004. It was here in College that she actively started pursuing Dramatics and also went on to become the President of the society and got her first main role in a Verbum play titled "Ritual In Blood". She won one Best Actor award in the Delhi University dramatics circuit for this particular performance.
She moved to Mumbai when her debut show Dhoom Machaao Dhoom shifted its shooting location from Delhi to Mumbai.
