MUMBAI: Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar is indeed the biggest show out of India. The series is impressing one and all with its fantastic visuals, music and performances. One actor in the series began his journey with theatre and has worked with biggies of the industry like Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, among others and is now gaining praise for his role in SLB’s Heeramandi.
The actor we are talking about is Anuj Sharma who essays the role of Hamid Mohsin Ali in the Manisha Koirala starrer Heeramandi. He has not only been a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi but also Padmaavat!
SLB has even called Sharma his lucky charm. He revealed in an interview, “Two moments stand out as particularly memorable for me on the set of Heeramandi. The first was when Sanjay sir personally praised my work, acknowledging me as his "lucky charm" in front of the entire unit. It was a validation of my efforts and a moment I'll always cherish.”
He further added, “The second was the camaraderie with esteemed actresses like Aditi Rao Hydari, learning from their craft and dedication. Working alongside such talents reinforced the importance of director-actor synergy and the power of collaborative storytelling.”
Heeramandi started streaming on Netflix on 1st May and also stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal Mehta, Taha Shah Badussha, Fardeen Khan, Farida Jalal, Adhyayan Suman, Shekhar Suman, Jason Shah, Jayati Bhatia, and many other stars.
