MUMBAI : Citadel: Honey Bunny, the Hindi series, is not just a prequel to Citadel, the Priyanka Chopra Jonas starrer but it’s also going to be a major part in the big picture as the creators have planned a global map of series coming from different parts of the world.

Citadel: Honey Bunny is an action-romantic love story of two spies, played by Varun Dhawan and Samantha. Through this, we will come to know about the backstory of Nadia’s (played by Priyanka Chopra Jonas) parents. Fans are also expecting some major connections to upcoming series including Citadel 2.

It is an Amazon Prime series and is now available to stream. The Varun Dhawan-Samantha starrer is directed by Raj & DK, who are known for series and movies like The Family Man, A Gentleman, Farzi and many more.

Earlier, we got some fresh updates from Priyanka Chopra Jonas, showing that the shoot for Citadel 2 has begun. The teaser and trailer of the series received a huge appreciation from the audience and we got to watch some really sweet and funny moments during the trailer launch which went viral on social media.

Today, the series released finally on Amazon Prime and we got to watch some amazing performances from Varun Dhawan, Samantha, Kay Kay Menon, Sikandar Kher, and many more. We also loved the action sequences and the story line. However, the surprising element of the series was Saqib Saleem.

Well, here’s what we noticed – during all the promotion events and in all the posts related to Citadel: Honey Bunny, we did not see Saqib Saleem and no one was ready for this. It really turned out to be a smart move from the makers as we were not prepared for this surprise element and it really left us awestruck. Saqib Saleem’s performance as the lead antagonist did a fantastic job.

Lately, we have been observing some actors making a comeback with negative roles, be it in Hindi movies or South movies. The negative roles have become quite likeable to the audience and now we feel that Saqib Saleem’s role would also be added to the list.
