Dus June Kii Raat: Tusshar Kapoor on being self-made, says, ‘my family wanted to launch me but…’ - Exclusive

MUMBAI: JioCinema is coming with a lot of new series and shows which the audience are engaging into. JioCinema is coming up with a finite series titled “Dus June Kii Raat”. The new series will be produced by Sachin Mohite under the banner of Jaasvand Entertainment and will be co-produced by Ekta Kapoor.

Sachin Mohite is known for producing shows like Pyare Sirf Humare for Zeetv, Begusarai for &TV, Gandi Baat, Paurashpur and many more. The show stars Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Tusshar Kapoor in the lead roles.

When talking about Tusshar Kapoor, he is one of the most well-known actors from the Indian film industry who has given us one of the funniest character of Lucky from Golmaal franchise. The actor debuted with the 2001 movie Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai where he was paired along with Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Now, the actor will be seen in next in the upcoming series ‘Dus June Kii Raat’. The actor got into an exclusive interview with Tellychakkar where we asked him about his career and how he started.

To this, Tusshar Kapoor said, “It’s been a journey. It’s been a rollercoaster ride, a great fun rollercoaster ride and the highs, the lows, the fears, the excitement, everything has really added to me being here today and I’m really grateful to god, to universe for making me have all those experiences because we are really sum total of our experiences. I’m glad that I found my own path because my family wanted to launch me but I wanted to be launched by an outside banner because I’d just worked abroad so I had this whole self-made angle that I want to get launched on my own. So Ashu ji, very grateful to you and Satish ji and thereafter of course I had to go through my own struggles for making to learn what not to do, what not to take up and to learn the ropes of the industry and uske baad toh of course audience ke haath mein hi hota hai and audience ne bohot pyaar diya and jis sire se dekhna chaha usi sire mein accept kiya. In comedy, or whether it was action or whether it was…so thanks to them I’m back here to showcase myself, her (Priyanka Chahar Choudhary) all of us in this show in a new light, through this show called Dus June Kii Raat.”
