MUMBAI: Bobby Deol’s Ashram, a web series on MX Player has created a lot of buzz around town and the actor was recently seen on multiple occasions, promoting the latest season. After the successful two seasons, the show is back with a third season and apparently, there will also be a season 4.
Aashram 3 stars Bobby Deol in the lead role and premiered today. Just as the reviews started coming in and fans started to watch it, Bobby shared a teaser of the next season, leaving the audience all the more intrigued and curious. Season 4 will premier next year and going by the teaser, it promises more drama.
The Prakash Jha directorial’s next season’s teaser, shows Baba Nirala to be highly drunk on power. He is also seen asking a policeman about how he can arrest a God. In a shocking twist, Pammi, (Aditi Pohankar) is seen coming back to the ashram with a plan in her mind. Towards the end of the teaser, the character is seen getting dressed as a bride and this hints towards an even bigger twist.
Fans have been praising the latest season, The Indian Express film critic writes that the latest season feels old and dreary and very predictable. “It’s just more of the dreary same: when we see a pubescent young woman, not quite all there, accompanied by her parents fetching up at the baba’s durbaar for a ‘cure’, we know what fate will befall her.”
Apart from the previous cast of Bobby Deol and Aditi Pohankar, this season also stars Esha Gupta and Chandan Roy Sanyal in pivotal roles.
