MUMBAI:   Arshad Warsi is currently busy garnering praises for his performance in Asur season 2 which started streaming on Jio Cinema a few days ago. The audience was waiting for the series for a very long time, and it has received a great response.

TellyChakkar recently interacted with Arshad and spoke to him about the response he has got for Asur 2, if Asur 3 is happening and more...

Asur season 2 is getting a great response and even your performance is being praised. But, is there a compliment that has stuck in your hearts?

I just wanted people to like it. Not just me, but the entire cast, they have all done so well and that’s the only way it works, when all the departments do their job, then things work. There are some compliments which have been so good like one of them said that I have got life to this entire show. But, I am happy that people are loving it and I am happy that they have enjoyed my work because this is not an easy series, it’s really tough, it’s quite an intense acting, it’s a lot of baggage that you have to take back home, so it’s all that and more. So, when people like this it makes you feel good.

Fans were eagerly waiting for Asur season 2. So, how did you handle the questions of your fans about when season 2 is coming?

Big trouble! I was already dealing with one question, when is Munna Bhai 3 coming, and now, I had one more when Asur 2 is coming; then there was Jolly (Jolly LLB 3) as well. So, I keep getting this, when is this coming, when is that coming; there’s a list, and now Asur is added to it. We had done the thing and I really wanted people to see it because I knew it’s so good. For whatever reasons it got delayed, the response is exactly the same. But, I have a very strong feeling that this will not happen again; the next time this happens, if this happens, it will be much faster and on time.

So, is that a hint that Asur 3 is happening?

I will tell you something honestly, when I did Asur 1, we never thought of doing 2. But, when I finished, I told the writer of the show Gaurav that you do understand that this is very nice, people would want to see more, and that happened, we did season 2. And when we were shooting for season 2 I told him ‘Gaurav start writing 3 now’. So, I hope he has thought about it because this is not an easy script to write, it takes a lot of time and research. Let me put it this way, from an audience point of view, I definitely want to see the third part. I want to see the end and want to see the conclusion; I want to see who is killing the people.
