MUMBAI : Actor Pratik Gandhi in this exclusive interview with Tellychakkar.com talks about his upcoming web series The Great Indian Murder. The actor speaks about how he takes the challenges in today’s scenario, the actor whose work has inspired him, and his experience of working with Tigmanshu Dhulia.
How do you see the competition and challenges in today's scenario?
Personally, I don't see any competition between actors because we are individuals, and different human beings. We are not biscuits or soaps to be compared. You can't compare two actors unless we do the same roles. I mean if the actors are doing the same roles then still they can be compared. Having said that the kind of work happening these days, the kind of content we are seeing, and the kind of performances were are seeing all across the globe. It is very inspiring and somewhere when you start feeling, that I also want to do something like this, that's where you work on your craft, you want to add more reasons to be cast for something really good. So I see the whole thing in that way. Sometimes you see someone performing absolutely brilliant then you want to do something like that. You want something like that role, character, or script that should come to you at least once.

So is there any actor whose role you have liked off late?
I have not seen many of the films lately. But what Fahadh Faasil has been doing recently I would love to do work in that zone. He is one of my favorite actors. I love whatever he has done in all his films.
How was your experience of working with Tigmanshu Dhulia?
It was a continuous learning process with Tigmanshu Dhulia. He actually thinks for the character from multiple angles. Because he is the writer and the director of the series and he is the actor himself so we get 365 degrees of perspective. So he understands the actor's brain, the way we think, the way we want to approach our character, So he would add his expertise to it. It's a wholesome experience that an actor can get while working with him.
