MUMBAI : Popular Indian actress Garima Jain has ruled over a million hearts over the years with her acting skills. Garima Jain has majorly worked in TV industry and can be seen currently in TV shows like ‘Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyaag Tandav’ and ‘Shrimad Ramayan’.

When it comes to expanding her boundaries, the actress has also impressed the audience with her amazing performances in the OTT space with projects like Gandii Baat 4, XXX: Season2, Twisted 3, and Mastram.

Apart from OTT space, she has also spread her charm on the big screen with her performances in movies like Chitram Cheppina Katha, Hivade Me Fute Laadu, Mardaani 2 and Aafat-E-Ishq.

Surely the actress has never stopped spreading her magic and this time Tellychakkar got in touch with Garima Jain where we got into a conversation with her and got some interesting answers when she was asked about her journey from TV shows to OTT, her new projects, and much more.

From TV shows to now OTT, how has the experience been?

To this, Garima Jain said that she feels grateful about how she has been successful in TV and OTT space as well. Garima added that there was a time when she was only focusing on OTT projects as she needed a break from TV and feels that there is a great difference between doing TV and OTT.

What are some differences you feel working in TV and OTT?

To this, Garima Jain mentioned about some differences and said that in terms of TV, the kind of acting that the genre or the audience require is the kind that is very loud, show loads of emotions and amplify whatever you are doing whereas in case of OTT, it’s very relatable, day-to-day, nothing loud but very basic and this is a challenge that every TV actor will feel as they are habitual to a certain way of acting in TV like loudness, loud body language and much more whereas in your normal life you will be very normal and be how you are in your daily life and OTT is exactly that as the audience that watches OTT do not want over-the-top drama and want to see things simple and casual. Garima Jain said that while this is one of the major differences, another major difference is that TV is unlimited, as in if the show is successful, it will run for 3 years and can also run for 8 years so it’s like the same character, same show, working for 8 long years but in case of OTT, your character, your body language, your script and set and cast keeps changing with the project which means that there’s a lot more excitement in that space. Not that TV isn’t exciting but due to the changes that happen every day, OTT is exciting. Pointing out to another difference, Garima Jain said that OTT projects show what’s generally happening in people’s lives whereas in case of TV, it is confined to ‘Saas-bahu’ drama and what happens in one’s house.

Tell us about your news project?

To this, Garima Jain said that in terms of TV she is doing Shrimad Ramayan and Shiv Shakti and both are mythological shows. Stating the difference between a regular TV serial and a mythological one, Garima Jain said that while shooting for mythological shows you get to learn a lot about the culture and the history. In terms of OTT, she is starting to work on a JioCinema series. However, the actress did not reveal much details about her upcoming series.
